Following her interest in industrial processes, Yutzil Segura obtained a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sonora in Mexico. She went on to pursue her post-graduate studies at the University of Paris-Saclay, where she obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry (International Track). During her academic career, she had the opportunity to carry out internships in the field of electrochemistry, both in France and the United States. In 2022, she begins her PhD thesis (Process Engineering), in collaboration between Sorbonne University (Laboratoire Interfaces et Systèmes Électrochimiques (LISE), UPMC) and Collège de France (Laboratoire de Chimie des Processus Biologiques, LCPB), under the supervision of Carlos Sánchez(LISE) and M. Gomez-Mingot/M. Fontecave (LCPB). His project on the valorization ofCO2 by electrochemistry under industrial conditions gives him the opportunity to combine his different areas of interest : large-scale electrochemical applications, materials development and carbon footprint reduction.
