Journalist and historian, producer of the France Culture program "Le Temps du débat"

Emmanuel Laurentin is a journalist and historian, and producer of the program "Le Temps du débat" on France Culture. He has been appointed ambassador of the Grande Collecte des archives du sport in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Born in 1960 in Poitiers, Emmanuel Laurentin has been the producer of the program "Le Temps du Débat" on France Culture, since 2019. Previously, he was the producer of the program "La Fabrique de l'Histoire" on France Culture, a program he himself created in 1999. After studying medieval history at the University of Poitiers, and journalism at the Ecole supérieure de journalisme in Lille, Emmanuel Laurentin began his career at Radio France. He worked for a time at France Inter, before joining the "Culture Matin" team on France Culture.

Emmanuel Laurentin is also a member of the editorial board of the magazine L'Histoire and of the editorial board of the magazine Esprit.
