Presentation

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of Hervé Turlier. I have a background on cell membranes and with my work here I will expand on that by studying the interplay of membranes with a cortex. I hold a PhD in Physics from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) which was centered on the study of the cellular membrane under hydrodynamic forces and during membrane fission.

Now we want to couple the membrane to the cortex and afterwards with the fluid flow, temperature, functional proteins, and everything we come up with. The goal is understanding both groups of cells and single cells better. The ideal outcome of our research would be to be able to get new tools to understand the real world. To this end collaborating with experimental biologists is a key element, one which I very much forward to.
