To mark the first anniversary of the death of Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie, professor at the Collège de France (1973 to 1999) and General Administrator of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (1987 to 1994), two symposia are paying tribute to him:
- November 6 and 7, 2024: Hommage à Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie, organized by the Bibliothèque nationale de France, in partnership with the Collège de France. Pr Thomas Römer, Administrator of the Collège de France, will open the proceedings on the 7th.
- November 26, 2024: Histoire du climat depuis l'an un. A tribute to Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie, organized by Pr Edouard Bard's Climate and Ocean Evolution Chair.
