Visiting Professor Sanjay Subrahmanyam, holder of the International Chair "Global History of Early Modernity", has just been awarded the 2019 Dan David Prize in the " Past Time Dimension - Macro History " category. He shares this distinction with Professor Kenneth Pomeranz of the University of Chicago. The prize will be awarded in May at a ceremony in Tel Aviv.
The Dan David Prize is an annual award of three prizes of one million dollars each for outstanding achievement. The 3 themes are Past, Present and Future.
