The Spanish BBVA Foundation has just awarded its BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge prize in the Economics, Finance and Management category to Prof. Philippe Aghion, holder of the Economics of Institutions, Innovation and Growth chair, and Peter Howitt Professor Emeritus of Economics (Brown University, EU) for developing a theory of growth through innovation and creative destruction.
