Conversation with Antoine Compagnon

"Mario Vargas Llosa is not only a giant of contemporary literature - Nobel Prize in 2010, entered in the "Pléiade" in 2016 - but also a public intellectual with a strong presence on the world stage. Venturing into the political arena, he was a presidential candidate in his native Peru in 1990. Among his many novels, Conversation à La Catedral (1969) and La Fête au bouc (2000) denounce the dictatorships in Latin America. He recently spoke out against Catalan independence. Mario Vargas Llosa is still a prodigious reader, and we'll also be asking him about the books that made him a man and a writer."
