European Heritage Days at the Collège de France, September 18 and 19, 2010

Free admission, no prior registration required

Visits will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., continuously throughout the two days.

Self-guided tours

- The courtyards: the Cour d'Honneur, the Cour Paul Letarouilly and the Cour Guillaume Budé

- The grand foyer - contemporary architecture and scientific instruments

- The Marguerite de Navarre amphitheatre, seating 420 people

Guided tours

- 18th-century ambulatory and vaulted salons: architecture, archaeological artefacts and statues

- Teachers' assembly room: furniture, paintings, library

Lectures in the Marguerite de Navarre amphitheatre

- Saturday 10.30am: "The architectural renovation of the Collège de France" by Professor Jacques Glowinski, Honorary Administrator of the Collège de France

- Saturday 3 p.m.: "Why can't we do without the Collège de France in the 21st century?" by Professor Pierre Corvol, Administrator of the Collège de France

The lecture scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m. by Professor Goudineau has been cancelled
