On the occasion of the 2019 European Heritage Days, the Collège de France opens its doors to you for a tour that will enable you to appreciate the rich history and diversity of its heritage.
From the earliest Gallo-Roman occupations to the inauguration of the new science laboratories in 2014, via the reception rooms and the solemn Salle d'Assemblée, where faculty deliberations are held, this year's tour, featuring unique objects, paintings, books and manuscripts drawn from the establishment's precious holdings, will offer the public a discovery of 2,000 years of history at the Collège de France.
For the first time, an experimental science laboratory and the large terrace overlooking Paris will also be accessible. Visitors will also be able to take part in a tour of the building, enriched by cartels, archives, photographs and plans, explained and presented by the establishment's staff, a major lecture on the history of the Collège de France and an information brochure.
The European Heritage Days will be held at the Collège de France, 11 place Marcelin-Berthelot, 75005 Paris on September 21 and 22, 2019, from 10 am to 6 pm.
Admission free without reservation, subject to availability. Accessible to wheelchair users.
