Collège de France is extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Edith Heard as the next Director General of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). Professor Heard has held the Epigenetics and Cellular Memory Chair at the Collège de France since 2012, and is an active and highly valued member of the institution. It is an honor for one of our Professors to be offered the leadership of such a prestigious European organization as EMBL.
Her term of office will begin on January1, 2019.
