Edith Heard, holder of the Epigenetics and Cellular Memory Chair at the Collège de France has been awarded the 2017 Inserm Grand Prix. This award recognizes the excellence of her scientific contibution for her work on epigenetics. She discovered some of the epigenetic mechanisms that regulate X chromosome inactivation and the role of nuclear organization in this process.
