Conceived as a cycle of lectures given in the best Indian institutions in their field by Collège de France professors during a one-week stay, this chair, initially planned for a three-year period, will promote the circulation of ideas between the two countries and create links between researchers.
Professor François Héran will inaugurate the program in India during a trip scheduled from October 10 to 15, 2019, with talks planned at the India Habitat Centre in Delhi and theIndian Institute for Human Settlements in Bangalore. Around ten professors from the Collège de France have expressed an interest in taking part in this initiative, which will see an average of three professors hosted in India each year.
