Collège de France Young Researchers Webinar

january 12, 2021

The young researchers at the Collège de France, united in the ChADoC association (Chercheurs Associés et Doctorants du Collège de France) invite you to attend a series of monthly webinars presenting the research work of doctoral students, post-docs, ATERs and lecturers at the Collège de France in short presentations lasting around twenty minutes, accessible to all.

These presentations will familiarize visitors with research "in the making" in a variety of fields, from the experimental sciences to the humanities, and aim to show the richness and diversity of the work being pursued by new generations of scientists and researchers.

The first session, entitled "How to transformCO2 into energy", will be presented by Adèle Peugeot, a PhD student in the Chemistry of Biological Processes laboratory, and will take place online on Wednesday January 20 at 6 pm via the following link (advance registration required): https: //us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_74NAjqG5QKW6BATMIw-IrQ

How canCO2be converted into energy?

Human activities are causing large quantities of greenhouse gasesto accumulate in the atmosphere. These gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide (CO2), are responsible for global warming, and it is therefore urgent to limit them. What's more, our ever-increasing need for energy requires us to find low-carbon alternatives for its production. Capturing the carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere and converting it into energy is a promising strategy, both for reducing our carbon emissions and for producing the fuels and chemicals needed to run our societies and industries. However, transformingCO2 is a real challenge..
