Director of the Inserm laboratory "Neuropeptides Centraux et Régulations Hydrique et Cardiovasculaire" in the CIRB of the Collège de France, Dr Catherine Llorens-Cortes and her team have been awarded the Prix Galien France 2014 (Volet Recherche) for their work leading to potentially major therapeutic advances, on the cerebral opioid system and more recently in the cardiovascular field, particularly the identification of new therapeutic targets (aminopeptidase A and the apelin receptor) and the development of new compounds in the treatment of hypertension and heart failure.
