On March 5, French President Emmanuel Macron appointed two cultural experts to study the conditions for the restitution of works of art currently in France to African countries.
The two experts are: the Senegalese writer and academic Felwine Sarr and Bénédicte Savoy, art historian and professor at the Collège de France for five years in the International Chair. She teaches Cultural History of Artistic Heritages in Europe, XVIIIᵉ-XXᵉ century.
