The administrator, professors and entire Collège de France community congratulate paleoanthropologist Pr Jean-Jacques Hublin, who was awarded the Balzan Prize 2023 at a ceremony in Bern on November 17 2023.
The prize was awarded for " the importance of his discoveries in Paleoanthropology, and his qualities as a teacher and popularizer ".
Since 1961, the Fondation Internationale Prix Balzan has been honouring eminent scientists from the social sciences, humanities and natural sciences, as well as personalities from the fields of art and culture.
