Memories of the Barthes cult in Stockholm in 1980

Horace Engdahl is a member of the Swedish Academy, of which he was Permanent Secretary until 2009. He teaches Scandinavian literature at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. A polyglot, he has translated the works of Maurice Blanchot and Jacques Derrida into Swedish. Two of his books, La Cigarette et le Néant and Café Existence, have appeared in French (2014 and 2015).
