In devoting the third international colloquium of the Groupe de Recherche en Épistémologie (GRÉ) of Professor Tiercelin's Chair of Metaphysics and Philosophy of Knowledge to the principles of epistemology, the aim is to examine three things simultaneously:
- The major principles identified by epistemologists concerning belief and its revision, and concerning knowledge, its conditions and its progress.
- The foundations of our knowledge.
- The foundations or principles of epistemological reflection.
The colloquium, which will be held partly in French and partly in English, will be widely open this year to researchers from outside the GRÉ.
