The " New Frontiers in Radical Chemistry "symposiumconcludes the first cycle of lectures in radical chemistry, mainly devoted to the fundamentals of the field and its evolution in the context of green chemistry, and in particular to the development of various radical catalytic processes. The various lectures at the symposium are part of this continuum , addressing theoretical aspects of reactivity and revising certain dogmas through DFT modelling or confrontation with experimental results. The development of new molecular and macromolecular synthesis methodologies will be presented, along with their applications to the synthesis of natural products and biologically active molecules (medicinal chemistry). Recent developments in photocatalysis will be the focus of several lectures, unveiling new methodologies for generating radical entities and their implications in multi-step processes.
The symposium is in English.
