Kinetics, Fluids, Waves: PDE Symposium in honor of Claude Bardos' 85th birthday
On the occasion of his 85th birthday, we celebrate Claude Bardos and his contributions to science and society.
Several close collaborators/friends present common results and future perspectives.
After completing his doctorate under the supervision of Jacques-Louis Lions in 1969, Claude became a pillar of French and European mathematics, working on the asymptotic analysis of PDEs, in particular kinetic and hydrodynamic equations, and focusing on real-life applications in physics and engineering. His many honors include the Marcel Dassault Grand Prix and the SIAM Maxwell Prize (which he received at ICIAM 2019 from the hands of Spain's King Felipe VI).
Registration is free, but compulsory; by e-mail to: bardos85fest@gmail.com
