In 1995, Jacques Derrida diagnosed an archive sickness. The future has not denied him. Today, archives are at the heart of complex technical issues with immense political - and democratic - implications. The originality of these meetings consisted in bringing together archival theorists and archiving practitioners, philosophers, anthropologists, historians, critics, archivists and documentalists. Between theory and practice, we raised the contemporary challenges of the archive in the era of digitization and massive archiving of both personal and public data.
