The Collège de France welcomes the Opéra national de Paris

Hiroshi Sugimoto is the fourth personality to be invited to the Collège de France, as part of the celebration of the Opéra national de Paris' 350th anniversary. Following a master class by Philippe Jordan, its musical director, a lecture by Stéphane Lissner, general director of the lyric institution, and one by stage director Dmitri Tcherniakov in November 2018, the Japanese photographer will in turn present his work at a session on March 14, 2019, with a title borrowed from Vivaldi, "L'Estro armonico".

In September, Hiroshi Sugimoto will stage his first ballet for the Opéra national de Paris, At the Hawk's Well, based on the play of the same name by William Butler Yeats (choreography by Alessio Silvestrin, music by Ryoji Ikeda, costumes by Rick Owens).
