A good knowledge of classical Chinese is required for the seminar.

The seminar, run jointly with Mr Marc Kalinowski (Director of Studies Emeritus at the École Pratique des Hautes Études), Ms Béatrice L'Haridon and Mr Stéphane Feuillas (Senior Lecturers at the University of Paris 7-Denis Diderot), this year involved reading and analyzing a chapter from the Traité des rites, entitled " Ji yi " 祭義 (Meaning of Sacrifice). We thus continued the project of studying the Traité des rites, which had been initiated during the 2013-2014 year with the reading of another chapter, the " Tangong " 檀弓.
