Pierre-Henri Gouyon is an agricultural engineer with a doctorate in ecology, a master's degree in philosophy, a doctorate in science and a doctorate in genetics. He teaches at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle, AgroParisTech, École normale supérieure, École polytechnique, Université Paris-Sud, Orsay and Sciences Po. His lectures and research focus on the mechanisms of evolution, ecology, genetics, biodiversity and the relationship between science and society. He has published numerous articles and books in leading scientific journals. He has been involved in numerous commissions and councils within research organizations, ministries, universities and NGOs.
