Over the course of this year, Jean-Luc Fournet will reconstruct the libraries that the sands of Egypt have preserved, but which the vagaries of discovery have often dismembered. He will try to bring out the personalities of their readers, their tastes and the way in which Christian and classical cultures interpenetrate.
