Renormalization in field theory and the Riemann-Hilbert problem

My lecture this year is based on my collaboration with Dirk Kreimer and concerns renormalization in field theory. We show that renormalization is a special case of a general finite part extraction procedure given by the Riemann-Hilbert problem with values in a pronilpotent group associated with field theory.
