The purpose of this series of lessons is to explain how we can understand human movement by exploiting new developments in computer science. Through these four lessons, the Pʳ Pai will explain how computing has embarked on an exciting quest to understand physical and physiological reality. Specifically, the combination of new computer simulation methods of unprecedented realism with new imaging and measurement methods enables us to create virtual environments in which the complexity of human movement can be understood.
