Yannick Wurm
Yannick Wurm is an evolutionary biologist specialised in the genomic bases and tradeoffs of social evolution in ants. His pioneering work includes the discovery of many unique characteristics of ant genomes, and revealing that different versions of “social chromosomes” can determine whether an ant society accept one or multiple queens. Yannick is Reader in Evolutionary Genomics & Bioinformatics at Queen Mary University of London and a Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute (see https://wurmlab.com for more information).
