Iulia Cocosila began her higher education with a first année commune aux études de santé, followed by a bachelor's degree in health sciences at Paris-Descartes University, during which she specialized in chemistry, and a master's degree in molecular chemistry at the Paris Polytechnic Institute.
Her studies enabled her to acquire a cross-disciplinary vision of chemistry and the living world, and, thanks to the research internships she carried out, to acquire real technical knowledge in electrochemistry as well as in organic and organometallic synthesis.
Following on from her 2 Master's internship at the Chemistry of Biological Processes Laboratory at the Collège de France, she began a PhD thesis to develop bioinspired, heterogeneous molecular catalysts for electrochemical and photochemical carbon dioxide reduction.
