Abstract
This lecture presented the underlying algorithmics of the famous bitcoin cryptocurrency. Many parallels were drawn between the consensus algorithms presented in previous lectures and the way bitcoin works. The lecture went on to present frugal alternatives to the original bitcoin protocol.
