We review the history of the study of the town and in particular the excavation since 1947, the major figures who have presided over it, and then summarize more specifically the results acquired in 2009-2014. We discuss the city's spatial organization, chronology, stratigraphy, monetary finds, a number of rare objects, and finally the wall paintings unearthed in recent years.
