In 2020, Duy Thai Nguyen obtained a bachelor's degree in advanced materials science and nanotechnology from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam. He then pursued his academic career by obtaining a Master's degree in Chemistry (international stream) at the Université de Paris-Saclay, in France. Throughout his studies, he gained additional experience in electrochemistry, spectroelectrochemistry and photoelectrochemistry during internships in France and Vietnam. In 2023, he begins his PhD thesis in collaboration between Collège de France (Laboratoire de Chimie des Procédés Biologiques, LCPB) and Sorbonne Université (Institut Parisien de Chimie Moléculaire, IPCM), under the supervision of Professor Marc Fontecave (LCPB) and Professor Louis Fensterbank (IPCM). His project focuses on the molecular surface modification of a copper catalyst for the electro-reduction of CO into several carbonaceous products.
