Marie-Hélène Verlhac, DR1 CNRS at CIRB, has been elected a member of the EMBO organization.

EMBO (the European Molecular Biology Organization), an organization that has been promoting excellence in the life sciences since 1964 and whose 1,800 members include some of the most eminent researchers in the discipline, today revealed the names of the 62 biologists elected to join it this year. Among them, the Collège de France is honored to announce the appointment of Marie-Hélène Verlhac.

Marie-Hélène Verlhac joined CIRB in 2011 and became Deputy Director in 2013. Her work focuses on the end of ovogenesis in mammals. In particular, her team's current project aims to identify the impact of actin networks on the control of chromosome movements in relation to oocyte development.
