Abstract

In this talk, I will present the research I carry in the multimode quantum optics team in LKB (Sorbonne University). I will first briefly introduce the concept of optical mode especially the spectral mode and how we can use them in a context of quantum information. Then I will present the experiment I'm working on: the SPOPO (Synchronized Pumped OPO) which is a OPO cavity pumped with blue pulse light. The output state of the cavity is measured by using a homodyne detection where we can choose in what basis we want to characterize it by shaping the local oscillator spectrum: in the frequency band basis we will have entanglement among the spectrum and in a basis composed by Hermite gaussian modes of the spectrum, states are independent from each other. Finally, I will explain how we can act on and optimize the output states by shaping the spectrum of the pump.
