Pascale Hémery was born in 1965. She lives and works between Paris and Burgundy. Her work can be found in public collections such as the Musée Carnavalet, the BNF, the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Nevers and Belfort, the Musée du Dessin et de l'Estampe Originale in Gravelines, as well as in numerous private collections in France and abroad.

"Pascale Hémery draws the other side of big cities. She shows us the courtyard or terrace side, with vast plunging views, as if she were standing at the top of the tallest building. She composes a silent fragment of the city, a tangle of lines that hints at the chaos close at hand. With her, reverie retains a great precision of contour. Using charcoal and sometimes chalk, she brings to life and breathes life into the surface of a block of flats, she makes the metal beam of a railroad vibrate, she restores to urban behemoths a share of softness and fragility. She gives these mazes of cement and stone the sensitivity of a sleeping body
