Claudine Tiercelin's lecture will continue the examination of the links between ontology and semiotics. The historical journey already undertaken has shown that a reflection on the links that signs weave with the mind and the world is not necessarily nominalistic. It will outline the main features of a semiotic and realist ontology, rooted in perception and action, capable of overcoming the impasses to which various twentieth-century "turning points" have led. The seminar will present recent research (metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of science) that sheds new light on the questioning to which Plato was already inviting us in the Phaedrus. Several workshops and colloquia will be organized throughout the year.
