This year's lectures and seminars focused on the challenges facing economic theory, and in particular those arising directly from major contemporary economic issues. Three of these problems were highlighted at : firstly, the implementation of a climate policy; secondly, globalization, including trade and migration; and thirdly, the evaluation of economic performance. In each case, a more descriptive presentation of the problem at hand preceded an analytical discussion of the underlying theoretical issues.
