Genius is a particularly elusive term, whose origins date back to antiquity, through a variety of terminologies (Greek daemon, Latiningenium and genius, not to mention Arabic djinn ) and multiple uses, giving the term a plurality of meanings and latent acceptances that foster the diversity of perspectives through which it is commented on. It was especially during the 18thcentury that the idea of genius took hold of minds seeking to highlight the full potential of the human being to understand and transform the world, and in so doing, the term evolved to refer not only to a quality but to an individual. This is the starting point for the story of the vicissitudes we'll be discussing in the following sessions.
