After passing an external national competitive examination in 1996 from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, Sylvie Sportouch chose to be assigned to the Collège de France. She initially worked in the field of art history, before joining the legal and economics chairs in 2004. Her responsibilities can be broken down into a number of activities : organizing scientific events, disseminating and publishing lectures and books, managing finances and human resources. She is also involved in the life of the establishment, having been elected as a staff representative (CPE, CHSCT, CT).
