Researcher attached to the Mesopotamian Civilization Chair (Dominique Charpin)

Presentation

Antoine Jacquet defended his thesis at the University of Paris 1 in 2007, from which he drew material for a book entitled Florilegium Marianum XII. Documents relatifs aux dépenses pour le culte, Mémoires de NABU 13 (Paris, 2011). From the outset (2008), he has worked alongside Dominique Charpin on the " Archibab " project, first as a postdoctoral fellow and since 2015 as a researcher at the Collège de France. He is the author of some thirty journal articles, contributions to collective works and reviews of Assyriological works. He has also collaborated on the historical geography projects HIGEOMES and TEXTELSEM, directed between 2011 and 2017 by N. Ziegler within the CNRS UMR 7192, and contributed to the volume MTT I/1. Les toponymes paléo-babyloniens de la Haute-Mésopotamie (Paris, 2016), in collaboration with N. Ziegler and A.-I. Langlois. Since 2018, he has been teaching as a lecturer at the Historical and Philological Sciences Section of the EPHE. He is preparing the edition of a batch of archives from Lagaba kept at the Yale Babylonian Collection (BIN 11), where he has made numerous visits since 2011.
