The Prix du Collège de France 2023 will be awarded in the field of Letters, Humanities and Social Sciences.

The theme of the 2023 prize is : " Rencontres des civilisations ".

The prize is worth 20 000 euros. The winner is also invited to give a public lecture at the Collège de France on his or her work.

Entries will be received from Marchto April 30 2023, exclusively by electronic means.

The 2023 jury is made up of four professors from the Collège de France and one external member.

President : Dario Mantovani, Professor at the Collège de France, holder of the Chair in Law, Culture and Society in Ancient Rome .

Members : Anne Cheng, Professor at the Collège de France, holder of the Chair in Chinese Intellectual History ; Pierre-Michel Menger, Professor at the Collège de France, holder of the Chair in the Sociology of Creative Work ; François Déroche, Professor at the Collège de France, holder of the Chair inthe History of the Koran. Text and transmission ; Valentine Zuber, historian, director of studies at the École pratique des hautes études.

Candidates currently working in a public research laboratory in France are required to contact an active university professor or research director, who will support their application with a letter of introduction and recommendation. The application must be submitted by the candidate via a dedicated digital platform.
