Denis Duboule receives the Ross Harrison 2025 medal

The Ross Harrison 2025 Medal is awarded to Denis Duboule, Professor of Evolution of Development and Genomes, for his significant contributions to understanding the mechanisms of genetic regulation of vertebrate development and evolution, in particular through the study of the Hox gene family.

The medal will be presented at the 2025editionof the congress, in Puerto Rico, USA.

The Ross Harrison Prize, established in 1981, recognizes scientists whose contributions have significantly advanced the field of developmental biology. This medal, which has become the first distinction in this field, is awarded every four years at the congress of the International Society for Developmental Biology.

The only Frenchwoman to have received this award was Nicole Le Douarin, in 1997, Professor Emeritus at the Collège de France, who held the Chair of Cellular and Molecular Embryology from 1988 to 2000.
