At a time when the food crisis is once again threatening, nearly a billion people still do not have enough to eat. Fighting this injustice requires the mobilization of everyone. On the eve of the G20 agriculture summit, Ismail Serageldin, Professor of the Knowledge against poverty-AFD Chair at the Collège de France, has invited eminent scientists, practitioners, philosophers and politicians to discuss solutions for eradicating the scourge of hunger. Peter Doherty and Wole Soyinka, Nobel Prize winners in medicine and literature respectively, David Beckmann, President, Bread for the World, and Yolanda Kakabadse, President, WWF International, to name but a few, will put forward their ideas for a global plan to eradicate hunger. These points of view should support Professor Ismail Serageldin's closing remarks in his opening lecture, inviting us to become the 'new abolitionists'
