Jean-Christophe Bailly

A Doctor of Philosophy and writer, Jean-Christophe Bailly teaches at the École nationale supérieure de la nature et du paysage in Blois. Since La légende dispersée (10/18, 1978), Jean-Christophe Bailly has published some thirty books in almost every genre, from essays to poetry and drama. In addition to his landmark texts in the fields of art history, history and philosophy, he has never ceased to question the landscape of the countryside and cities, through his theoretical texts and travel journals, particularly in Le Dépaysement (Seuil, 2011), for which he received the Prix Décembre, La Phrase urbaine (Seuil, 2013) and of course his Description d'Olonne(Christian Bourgois, 1992), Prix France Culture.
