Abstract

Ruelle resonances are characteristics of a dynamical system that describe the fine asymptotics of large-time correlations. It is now well known that this notion is well defined for uniformly hyperbolic smooth systems on compact varieties. In this talk, I'll focus on the case of geodesic flows on non-compact varieties. In a certain class of varieties (called SPRs), I will explain that we can define Ruelle resonances in a half-plane, whose abscissa is given by a critical exponent at infinity.
