Readings from the Treatise on Rites (Liji)

A good knowledge of classical Chinese is required for the seminar.

In direct connection with the lecture, this new seminar, conducted with the participation of Mr. Marc Kalinowski, Director of Studies at the EPHE,^5th section, and Mr. Stéphane Feuillas, Lecturer at the University of Paris. Stéphane Feuillas, lecturer at the University of Paris 7 - Denis Diderot, set out to read the sections associated with the figure of Confucius in the chapter " Tan gong 檀弓 " of the Treatise on Rites(Liji 禮記), a compilation of ritualistic accounts and prescriptions from the Han period (^2nd century BC - 2nd century AD)C. - ^2nd century A.D.). The seminar has regularly brought together some thirty colleagues, researchers and students in Sinological Studies.
