Are chemical reactions described by new principles when atoms and molecules are cooled to the ground state? In this talk, I will describe the observation of coherent reactions between Bose condensed atoms and molecules at 10 nano-Kelvins.
Cheng Chin
Cheng Chin obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University and has been a professor in Physics at the University of Chicago since 2005. He won the APS I.I. Rabi Prize (2011) and the Bose-Einstein Condensation Award (2017). His research covers Laser cooling and trapping, Bose-Einstein condensation and degenerate Fermi gas, Feshbach resonance, quantum simulation and quantum control.
