Abstract

This talk will be devoted to the analysis of the Stokes-transport system in a periodic channel, with non-slip conditions on the domain boundaries. The stability of stratified density profiles will be demonstrated, under assumptions of regularity of the initial data. In addition, we'll identify a mechanism for creating boundary layers on the edges of the domain in large time. This concentration near the edges of the solution limits the rate of solution decay.
