Abstract

How can we create the right conditions for biomedical innovation and guide research ? Elias Zerhouni argues in favor of the concept of "inserted health", according to which social and political innovations must enter into synergy with biomedical innovation. Deciphering what tomorrow's medicine will look like - predictive, personalized, preemptive and participatory - he explains why researchers' freedom must be preserved and how innovation can be encouraged in the conduct of scientific projects.
