Recent years have highlighted the involvement of inflammatory processes in a large number of genetic pathologies : autoinflammatory diseases or, for the most part, acquired diseases such as atheromatous diseases, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, but also histiocytic pathologies, asthma and polyarthritis. Inflammation thus appears to be an effector of many diseases. Behind this term lie cells, molecular pathways and multiple effector responses, the fundamental knowledge of which is essential to understanding the pathophysiology of the above-mentioned pathologies. The first lecture in this series reviews the current state of knowledge on " inflammation ". The next five courses deal specifically with the main inflammation-related pathologies.
